FLOSS Collaboration
CLAM (C++ Library for Audio and Music)
Framework for research and application development in the audio and music domain. It offers a conceptual metamodel as well as tools for the analysis, synthesis and processing of audio signals. One of its most relevant features is the availability of a visual building dataflow application that allows to develop rapid prototypes without writing code. The project started 7 years ago and, among other highlights, it won the ACM award to the Best Open Source Multimedia Software in 2006.
Musix GNU+Linux
Very user friendly and 100% free GNU/Linux distribution intended for music production, audio/video edition and graphic design.
